Para–Apara Ontology
yasya yasya padārthasya yā yā śaktirudāhṛtā | sā sā viśveśvarī devī sa sa sarvo maheśvaraḥ

Sthala Purana: By identifying every entity’s totality with Maheśvara and every potency with Viśveśvarī, the verse resonates with Kāśī’s doctrine of Viśvanātha as the indwelling Lord of all names and forms; pilgrimage centers on realizing the Lord as the inner Self beyond particularities.
Significance: Darśana of Viśvanātha is traditionally held to grant jñāna and liberation (mokṣa) through recognition of Śiva as the all-pervading reality.

It teaches that every manifested power (śakti) is the Goddess, and every empowered reality is ultimately Mahādeva—training the seeker to perceive Pati (Śiva) and His Śakti pervading all experience, which supports liberation-oriented vision (mokṣa-dṛṣṭi).
Linga worship gathers all names, forms, and powers into one sacred symbol: the devotee honors every śakti as Devī and recognizes the substratum of all forms as Maheśvara, making Saguna worship a doorway to realizing Śiva’s all-pervasiveness.
A practical takeaway is śakti-Śiva-smaraṇa: during japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), contemplate that every capacity you witness is Devī’s śakti and offer it inwardly to Śiva, cultivating non-separative devotion and yogic steadiness.
