Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Sthala Purana: Not tied to a single kṣetra; it describes the jīvanmukta-like yogin who, established in siddha-yoga, acts for loka-hita while remaining unattached.
Significance: Highlights the ideal of remaining in the world for the welfare of beings—Śiva’s sustaining presence mirrored in the yogin’s compassionate engagement.
Role: nurturing
It describes the Shaiva ideal of the perfected yogin: even after attaining yogic fulfillment, he remains established and acts for lokahita (the welfare of beings), showing freedom from pasha (binding attachment) while living in the world.
In Shaiva Siddhanta, stability in realization and freedom amid action are sustained by Shiva’s anugraha (grace), commonly approached through Saguna Shiva worship—especially Linga-upasana—where devotion matures into inner steadiness and non-binding enjoyment.
The takeaway is steady yoga with a service-intent: daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), meditation on Shiva, and living with detachment—so experiences (bhoga) do not become bondage but are carried with remembrance of Shiva.
