Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pasha
Significance: Establishes ritual purity (śauca) and protected sacred space (kṣetra) as prerequisites for liṅga-upāsanā; supports removal of mala through disciplined observance, preparing the paśu for anugraha.
It teaches that outer purity and auspicious order in the worship-space support inner purity, making the mind fit for devotion to Pati (Shiva) and for receiving grace.
By describing the consecration-hall and its auspicious arrangements, it frames the proper setting for Saguna Shiva worship—especially rites connected with the Shiva Linga, where sanctity of place safeguards the sanctity of the invocation and offerings.
Prepare a clean, enclosed puja area with torana and darbha arrangements, then proceed with disciplined worship—ideally accompanied by mantra-japa (such as the Panchakshara) and a steady, purified mind.
