FAQs

It highlights anugraha (bestowing grace): when one honours divine injunction (ājñā), the Motherly power associated with Shiva’s retinue (Gaṇāmbikā) becomes the channel through which the sought fruit is granted.

The verse reflects Saguna devotion—approaching Shiva’s divine ecosystem (his Gaṇas and their presiding Śakti) with reverence and obedience—showing how grace flows through manifest forms while remaining rooted in Shiva’s overarching lordship.

A practical takeaway is sankalpa with humility: make a clear prayer for the desired spiritual aim, preceded by obedience to dharma and guru/divine command; accompany it with Shaiva bhakti such as japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and respectful worship of Shiva’s attendants and Śakti.
