The verse highlights that fulfillment of desires and higher spiritual aims occurs through anugraha (grace) when one aligns with rightful ājñā (divine command). In Shaiva Siddhānta, grace flows from Pati (Śiva) and is mediated through Śakti—here indicated by the Mother-powers such as Māheśī and the other Mātṛkās.
By invoking Māheśī (Śiva’s Śakti) along with other divine powers, the verse reflects Saguna upāsanā—approaching Śiva with form and attributes, often centered on the Liṅga, where Śiva is worshipped as the gracious Lord who grants boons and spiritual uplift through His Śakti.
A practical takeaway is prayerful sankalpa with humility—seeking Śiva’s grace while honoring dharmic authority. In Shaiva practice this can be paired with Liṅga-pūjā, japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”), and remembrance of Śiva-Śakti as the source of blessing.
