catvāraśca tathā vedāssetihāsapurāṇakāḥ | dharmaśāstrāṇi vidyābhirvaidikībhissamanvitāḥ

നാലു വേദങ്ങൾ, ഇതിഹാസ-പുരാണങ്ങളോടുകൂടി, വൈദിക വിദ്യകളാൽ സമന്വിതമായ ധർമ്മശാസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ—ഇവയൊക്കെയും ധർമ്മജ്ഞാനത്തിനും, പ്രഭുവിന്റെ കൃപയാൽ മോക്ഷപര്യന്തം മാർഗ്ഗബോധത്തിനും പ്രമാണഭൂതമായ ആശ്രയങ്ങളായി സ്ഥാപിതമാണ്।
