उपमन्युतपः-निवारणप्रसङ्गः / Śiva restrains Upamanyu’s tapas (Śiva disguised as Indra)
क्षीराब्धिरपि साकारः क्षीरं स्वादु करे दधत् । उपस्थाय ददौ पिण्डीभूतं क्षीरमनश्वरम्
kṣīrābdhirapi sākāraḥ kṣīraṃ svādu kare dadhat | upasthāya dadau piṇḍībhūtaṃ kṣīramanaśvaram
ക്ഷീരസമുദ്രവും രൂപം ധരിച്ചു, കൈയിൽ മധുരപാൽ പിടിച്ച് മുന്നോട്ട് വന്ന്, പിണ്ഡീഭൂതമായ—അനശ്വരമായ—ക്ഷീരം സമർപ്പിച്ചു.

The verse emphasizes embodied, tangible devotion—approaching, holding, and offering—aligned with Saguna worship where milk is a primary upachara in linga-abhisheka. The “solidified, imperishable milk” suggests the offering becomes sanctified (prasāda) through contact with the Lord’s presence.
A practical takeaway is kṣīrābhiṣeka (milk abhisheka) to Shiva-linga with a bhakti-bhāva, accompanied by japa of the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” contemplating the shift from perishable substance to imperishable grace (anaśvara).
