शैवधर्मप्रशंसा तथा पञ्चविधसाधनविभागः / Praise of Śaiva Dharma and the Fivefold Classification of Practice

अनादिमलसंश्लेषः प्रागभावात्स्वभावतः । अत्यंतं परिशुद्धात्मेत्यतो ऽयं शिव उच्यते

Transliteration

anādimalasaṃśleṣaḥ prāgabhāvātsvabhāvataḥ | atyaṃtaṃ pariśuddhātmetyato 'yaṃ śiva ucyate

Translation

സ്വഭാവതഃ അവനിൽ അനാദിമലസംബന്ധം ഇല്ല; ആദിമുതൽ തന്നെ മലിനതയുടെ അഭാവം. അവന്റെ ആത്മസ്വരൂപം അത്യന്തം പരിശുദ്ധം; അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് അവൻ “ശിവൻ” എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്.
