दक्षस्य रुद्रनिन्दा-निमित्तकथनम् / The Cause of Dakṣa’s Censure of Rudra
जगाम गणपः श्रीमान् सोमनंदीश्वरार्चितः । देवदुंदुभयो नेदुर्दिवि दिव्यसुखा घनाः
jagāma gaṇapaḥ śrīmān somanaṃdīśvarārcitaḥ | devaduṃdubhayo nedurdivi divyasukhā ghanāḥ
അപ്പോൾ ശ്രീമാൻ ഗണപൻ (ഗണേശൻ) സോമൻ, നന്ദി, ഈശ്വരൻ എന്നിവരാൽ വിധിപൂർവ്വം ആരാധിക്കപ്പെട്ട ശേഷം പ്രസ്ഥാനം ചെയ്തു. സ്വർഗത്തിൽ ദേവദുന്ദുഭികൾ മുഴങ്ങി; മേഘങ്ങൾ ദിവ്യസുഖദായകമായ മഴ പെയ്തു.

The verse presents auspicious cosmic signs—divine drums and blissful heavenly showers—indicating that sincere worship aligned with Śiva’s order (Īśvara and his gaṇas) harmonizes the worlds and confirms the descent of grace (anugraha).
By naming Īśvara and his close attendants (like Nandī) and showing their worship being honored, the verse reflects Saguna Śiva-bhakti: devotion expressed through archana and reverence to Śiva’s sacred retinue, which supports Linga-worship as the central, embodied focus of devotion.
It implies archana (ritual worship) with devotion—supported by mantra-japa such as the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—and cultivating inner auspiciousness; the “divine sounds” motif also supports meditative listening (nāda-anusandhāna) as a contemplative aid.
