त्रिमूर्तिसाम्यं तथा महेश्वरस्य परमार्थकारणत्वम् | Equality of the Trimūrti and Maheśvara as the Supreme Cause
मूर्खा निंदंति तान्वाग्भिः संरंभाभिनिवेशिनः । यातुधाना भवंत्येव पिशाचाश्च न संशयः
mūrkhā niṃdaṃti tānvāgbhiḥ saṃraṃbhābhiniveśinaḥ | yātudhānā bhavaṃtyeva piśācāśca na saṃśayaḥ
കോപത്തിലും പിടിവാശിയിലും കുടുങ്ങിയ മൂഢർ കടുത്ത വാക്കുകളാൽ അത്തരം ഭക്തരെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു; അവർ തീർച്ചയായും യാതുധാനരും പിശാചുകളും പോലെയാകുന്നു—സംശയമില്ല.

It warns that slandering the righteous—especially Shiva’s devotees—pollutes one’s consciousness and strengthens tamas; such speech becomes a binding pasha that pushes the soul away from Shiva’s grace and toward fearful, degraded states.
Linga-worship is not only ritual but a discipline of purity (śauca) and reverence; insulting Shiva-bhaktas contradicts devotion to Saguna Shiva, because honoring the Lord includes honoring those who live in His worship.
Practice mantra-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namah Shivaya”) with restraint of speech (vāg-niyama), and adopt a vow of non-slander during worship—supporting inner purity alongside external rites like bhasma and rudraksha.
