Suta Goswami (narrating the Vāyavīya teaching to the sages of Naimisharanya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Role: nurturing
Cosmic Event: tri-world governance (cosmic administration across trailokya)
It presents Shiva as Pati (the Supreme Lord) who manifests three operative powers for the cosmos—creation, withdrawal (dissolution), and governance—while remaining the one Self behind all change, guiding the soul beyond pasha (bondage).
The Linga signifies the one Shiva who is beyond form, yet this verse explains His Saguna activity in the three worlds through manifest functions; worship of the Linga trains the devotee to see all cosmic processes as Shiva’s conscious governance.
Meditate on Shiva as the inner ruler of all three states and worlds while repeating the Panchakshara “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offering all experiences—arising, changing, and dissolving—into the Linga as acts of surrender.
