FAQs

It emphasizes disciplined continuity in worship: when the correct measure is known, the devotee should repeat the previously taught procedure with a welfare-seeking intention, aligning action (kriyā) with devotion (bhakti) for Shiva’s grace.

The verse supports Saguna Shiva upāsanā through Linga pūjā by stressing that the devotee should follow the established method (pūrvavat), since prescribed order and purity are integral to ritual worship that focuses the mind on Shiva.

It advises performing the same previously described Shiva pūjā procedure with the stated measure—i.e., repeat the standard offerings and steps consistently, with the intention of spiritual benefit (hita).
