Shiva Purana — Rudra Samhita, Shloka 76

Significance: Frames jñāna→vijñāna as the true ‘inner tīrtha’: realization that removes bheda (separative cognition) and turns the seeker toward Śiva-nature.

FAQs

It teaches that mere conceptual knowledge matures into vijñāna—direct realization of the Supreme (Shiva as Parabrahman)—and with that awakening, the felt separation between self and the Divine is dissolved, leading toward moksha.

Linga and saguna worship function as supports for concentration and purity; through devotion, mantra, and contemplation, the seeker’s jñāna ripens into vijñāna, revealing Shiva beyond form (Parabrahman) and removing the perception of duality.

Sustained japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with dhyāna on Shiva/Linga, supported by Shaiva disciplines such as Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as aids to steadiness and inner realization.
