FAQs

It teaches that steady devotion expressed through daily recitation of the Liṅga’s sacred narrative—performed in the sanctifying presence of the Liṅga—purifies the soul and matures it toward śiva-tattva (Śiva-like consciousness), culminating in a transformation described as becoming “of Śiva’s nature.”

The verse places the practice specifically “in the presence of the Liṅga,” affirming the Liṅga as the accessible Saguna focus through which the devotee’s mind, speech, and devotion become concentrated on Pati (Śiva), enabling inner assimilation of Śiva’s qualities.

Daily pāṭha (recitation) of the Liṅga-related ākhyāna while seated near the Shiva Liṅga—ideally alongside simple upacāras like offering water, bilva leaves, and repeating “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—is the implied practice.
