Viṣṇu’s Manifestation and Brahmā’s Hymn
इत्थं विचार्य बहुधा तदाहं विमदो मुने । हरिं तं सोऽस्मरं भक्त्या शिवात्मानं स्वदेहदम्
itthaṃ vicārya bahudhā tadāhaṃ vimado mune | hariṃ taṃ so'smaraṃ bhaktyā śivātmānaṃ svadehadam
ഇങ്ങനെ പലവിധം ആലോചിച്ച്, ഹേ മുനേ, ഞാൻ മോഹമുക്തനായി. പിന്നെ ഭക്തിയോടെ ആ ഹരിയെ സ്മരിച്ചു—അവൻ തത്ത്വത്തിൽ ശിവസ്വരൂപൻ; ഭക്തന് തന്റെ തന്നെ ആത്മസ്വരൂപം ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നവൻ।

The verse emphasizes smaraṇa (devotional recollection) of the Lord’s true nature; in practice, this is supported through saguna worship such as Śiva-liṅga pūjā, where the mind is gathered and fixed on Śiva as the indwelling reality even when names like “Hari” appear.
