sṛṣṭiprāraṃbhasamaye daśa putrā hi jajñire | dakṣādyāstanayā caikā vāgbhavāpyatisundarī

Tattva Level: pasha
Significance: Cosmogonic genealogy situates beings within the created order (māyā’s field). Pilgrimage/worship is implied as the route from created lineage to transcendent Pati.
Cosmic Event: sṛṣṭi-prārambha (beginning of creation)
It frames the cosmic beginning as an ordered unfolding of beings—sons and daughters—within creation, preparing the karmic and relational field in which Shiva’s later līlās (especially around Daksha and Satī) reveal the supremacy of Pati (Shiva) over worldly pride.
By introducing Daksha—whose later conflict with Shiva becomes central—it indirectly points to why devotees take refuge in Saguna Shiva (and the Linga) as the stable, grace-giving Lord beyond social status and ritual ego.
The verse itself is narrative, but the takeaway is humility and Shiva-bhakti: steady japa of the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and worship of the Shiva-Linga to transcend pride and align with Shiva’s grace.
