ഈ ദശതിയിൽ സോമ പവമാനൻ പവിത്രം (ശോധക-ചാലനി) വഴി ദീപ്തമായി ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും യജ്ഞത്തിലേക്ക് മംഗളകരമായി എത്തുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നതാണ് മുഖ്യം. ഹിരണ്യ/പ്രകാശമുള്ള ശോധകമാധ്യമങ്ങളിലൂടെ ഒഴുകി, ദേവന്മാരോടൊപ്പം ഐക്യപ്പെട്ടു യജ്ഞസദനത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുന്ന സോമനെ സ്തുതിക്കുന്നു. യജമാനന് പശു, യശസ്, സ്വസ്തി, സമൃദ്ധി, സംരക്ഷണം എന്നിവ നൽകണമെന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥനയും ഉണ്ട്. അവസാനം സരസ്വന്തനെ സന്താനവർദ്ധന, ഫലഭൂയിഷ്ഠത, ജീവവർദ്ധന എന്നീ യജ്ഞഫലത്തിനായി പ്രത്യേകമായി ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
