स्वायुधः सोतृभिः पूयमानोऽभ्यर्ष गुह्यं चारु नाम । अभि वाजं सप्तिरिव श्रवस्याभि वायुमभि गा देव सोम ॥
Transliteration
svāyudhaḥ sotṛ́bhiḥ pūyámāno ’bhyàrṣa gúhyaṃ cā́ru nā́ma | abhí vā́jaṃ sáptir iva śravasyā́bhi vāyúm abhí gā́ deva soma ||
Translation
സ്വശക്തിയാൽ ആയുധധാരിയായി, സോതൃഭിഃ (രസം പിഴിയുന്നവരാൽ) ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട്, ഹേ സോമ, ഒഴുകിവരിക—ഗുഹ്യവും ചാരുവുമായ നാമത്തിലേക്ക്. വേഗശാലിയായ അശ്വം ശ്രവസ്സ് (കീർത്തി) തേടുന്നതുപോലെ വാജം (ബല-സമ്പത്ത്) തേടി പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലുക; വായുവിലേക്കു പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലുക, ഗാഃ (കിരണ-ഗോങ്ങൾ) ലേക്കു പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലുക, ഹേ ദേവ സോമ.
