त्वं पवित्रे रजसो विधर्मणि देवेभ्यः सोम पवमान पूयसे । त्वामुशिजः प्रथमा अगृभ्णत तुभ्येमा विश्वा भुवनानि येमिरे ॥
tváṃ pavítre rájaso ví-dharmaṇi devébhyaḥ soma pavamāna pūyase | tvā́m uśíjaḥ prathamā́ agṛbhṇata túbhyemā́ víśvā bhúvanāni yemire ||
ഹേ സോമ പവമാന! നീ പവിത്രത്തിൽ (ചാലനി) ഋതത്തിന്റെ വിശാല മണ്ഡലങ്ങളിൽ, ദേവന്മാർക്കായി ശുദ്ധനാകുന്നു. അഗ്നി-അന്വേഷകരായ ഉശിജർ നിന്നെ ആദ്യം ഗ്രഹിച്ചു; നിനക്കായി സർവ്വ ഭുവനങ്ങളും തങ്ങളുടെ യുക്തമായ യോജത്തിൽ നിലകൊണ്ടു.
