इन्द्रं वर्धन्तो अप्तुरः कृण्वन्तो विश्वमार्यम् । अपघ्नन्तो अराव्णः ॥

índraṃ várdhanto aptúraḥ kṛṇvánto víśvam ā́ryam | apághnanto arā́vṇaḥ ||

ഇന്ദ്രനെ വർധിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, അപ്തുരഃ (കർമ്മകർതാക്കൾ) എല്ലാം ‘ആര്യ’—ഉന്നതവും തേജസ്സുമുള്ളതുമാക്കി തീർക്കുന്നു; അവർ അരാവ്ണഃ—ദാരിദ്ര്യവും ക്ഷയകരശക്തികളും—അകറ്റി തള്ളുന്നു.
