स पवस्व सहमानः पृतन्यून्त्सेधन्रक्षांस्यप दुर्गहाणि । स्वायुधः सासह्वान्त्सोम शत्रून् ॥

sá pavasva sáhamānaḥ pṛtanyū́n sédhan rákṣāṃsy ápa durgáhāṇi | svāyudháḥ sāsahvā́n soma śátrūn ||

ഹേ സോമ, നീ ഒഴുകിവാ—ആക്രമകരെ സഹിച്ച് ജയിക്കുന്നവനായി; രക്ഷാംസി (വികൃതിയുടെ ശക്തികൾ)യെ അകറ്റി, ദുർഗഹാണി (പിടിക്കുവാൻ ദുഷ്കരമായ) തടസ്സങ്ങളെ നീക്കുക. നിന്റെ സ്വാഭാവിക ആയുധ-ബലത്തോടെ സജ്ജനായി, ഹേ സോമ, ഉള്ളിലെ ശത്രുക്കളെ കീഴടക്കുക.
