etā́vatas te vaso vidyā́ma śūra návyasaḥ | yáthā prá ā́va etáśaṃ kṛ́tvye dháne yáthā váśaṃ dáśa-vraje ||

ഹേ വസു (ധനവാൻ), ഹേ ശൂര (വീരൻ), നിനക്കുറിച്ച് ഇത്രയെങ്കിലും ഞങ്ങൾ പുതുതായി അറിയട്ടെ: നിധി നേടാനുള്ള കഠിന പരിശ്രമത്തിൽ നീ എതശനെ എങ്ങനെ മുന്നോട്ട് കൊണ്ടുവന്നുവോ; അതുപോലെ ദശവ്രജ—പത്തിരട്ടി വേലി/ബന്ധനം—യിൽ നിന്ന് വശനെ എങ്ങനെ പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവന്നുവോ.
