Sukta 8.19
तव द्रप्सो नीलवान्वाश ऋत्विय इन्धानः सिष्णवा ददे । त्वं महीनामुषसामसि प्रियः क्षपो वस्तुषु राजसि ॥
táva drapsó nī́lavān vāśá ṛtvíya índhānaḥ siṣṇávā́ dade | tváṃ mahī́nām uṣásām asi priyáḥ kṣapó vástuṣu rājasi ||
ഹേ അഗ്നേ, നിന്റെ ജ്വാലാ-ബിന്ദു നീല-ഘന വർണ്ണമുള്ളതും മുഴങ്ങുന്നതുമാണ്; ഋത്വിജൻ (യജ്ഞപുരോഹിതൻ) ജ്വലിപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ നീ പ്രവർത്തിയിൽ നിന്റെ ശക്തിയെ സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നു. മഹത്തായ ഉഷസ്സുകൾക്ക് നീ പ്രിയൻ; രാത്രികളിൽ, വിശ്രമസ്ഥാനങ്ങളിൽ, അവരുടെ പ്രിയപ്രകാശമായി നീ രാജിക്കുന്നു.
