नरा गौरेव विद्युतं तृषाणास्माकमद्य सवनोप यातम् । पुरुत्रा हि वां मतिभिर्हवन्ते मा वामन्ये नि यमन्देवयन्तः ॥
Transliteration
nárā gauréva vidyútaṃ tṛṣāṇā́smā́kam adyá savanópa yātam | purutrā́ hí vām matíbhiḥ hávante mā́ vām anyé ní yamann deva-yántaḥ ||
Translation
ഹേ നരാ (അശ്വിനൗ), കാളയുടെ മിന്നൽ-മിന്നലുപോലെ തൃഷ്ണയോടെ ഇന്ന് ഞങ്ങളുടെ സവനത്തിലേക്ക് (സോമപീഡനത്തിലേക്ക്) വരിക. പല സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലും അവർ നിങ്ങളെ മതിഭിഃ (ചിന്ത/സ്തുതികളാൽ) വിളിക്കുന്നു; മറ്റു ദേവയന്തർ (ദേവാന്വേഷകർ) നിങ്ങളെ ഞങ്ങളിൽ നിന്ന് തടഞ്ഞുനിർത്തരുതേ.
