इन्द्रासोमा तपतं रक्ष उब्जतं न्यर्पयतं वृषणा तमोवृधः । परा शृणीतमचितो न्योषतं हतं नुदेथां नि शिशीतमत्रिणः ॥

Transliteration

indrā́somā tápataṃ rákṣa ubjátam ní arpayataṃ vṛṣaṇā tamo-vṛ́dhaḥ | párā śṛṇītam acíto ní oṣataṃ hatáṃ nudéthāṃ ní śiśītam atríṇaḥ ||

Translation

ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ-സോമാ, ജ്വലിച്ചു തെളിയുക; രക്ഷസ്സിനെ തകർക്കുക; ഹേ വൃഷണന്മാരേ, തമോവൃധരെ താഴേക്ക് തള്ളുക. അവരെ ദൂരത്തേക്ക് ചിതറിക്കുക; അചിതരെ ദഹിപ്പിച്ച് ശമിപ്പിക്കുക; അത്രിണരെ പ്രഹരിച്ചു ഓടിക്കുക—അന്തരത്തിലെ നാശകരന്മാർക്കെതിരെ നിങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തി മൂർച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുക.
