वर्धाद्यं यज्ञ उत सोम इन्द्रं वर्धाद्ब्रह्म गिर उक्था च मन्म । वर्धाहैनमुषसो यामन्नक्तोर्वर्धान्मासाः शरदो द्याव इन्द्रम् ॥

várdhād yáṃ yajñá utá sóma índraṃ várdhād bráhma gíra ukthā́ ca mánma | várdhāhá enam uṣáso yā́mann aktór várdhān mā́sāḥ śarádo dyā́va índram ||

യജ്ഞവും സോമവും വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നവൻ—ഇന്ദ്രൻ; ബ്രഹ്മ (പവിത്ര സ്തുതി-രചന), ഗിരഃ (പ്രേരിത വാക്കുകൾ), ഉക്ഥങ്ങൾ (ഉച്ചരിച്ച സ്തോത്രങ്ങൾ), മനനം (ചിന്ത) ഇവയും അവനെ വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ഉഷസ്സുകൾ അവരുടെ ഗമനത്തിൽ, രാത്രികളും അവനെ വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; മാസങ്ങൾ, ശരദഃ (ഋതുക്കൾ) 그리고 ദ്യാവഃ (ആകാശങ്ങൾ) ഇന്ദ്രനെ വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
