Sukta 5.87
अपारो वो महिमा वृद्धशवसस्त्वेषं शवोऽवत्वेवयामरुत् । स्थातारो हि प्रसितौ संदृशि स्थन ते न उरुष्यता निदः शुशुक्वांसो नाग्नयः ॥
apā́ro vo mahimā́ vṛddha-śavasaḥ tveṣáṃ śávo’vatu evayā́marut | sthā́tāro hí pra-sitáu sam-dṛ́śi sthána te na uruṣyatā nidáḥ śuśukvā́ṃso nā́gnáyaḥ ||
അപരിമിതമാണ് നിങ്ങളുടെ മഹിമ, ഹേ വൃദ്ധശവസ്സ് (വർധിതബലമുള്ളവരേ); നിങ്ങളുടെ തീക്ഷ്ണ ശവ് (ബലം) രക്ഷിക്കട്ടെ, ഹേ മരുതുകളേ. കാരണം നിങ്ങൾ മുന്നേറ്റപ്രേരണയിൽ ദൃഢമായി നിലകൊള്ളുന്നു, പൊതുദർശനത്തിൽ ദൃശ്യമാകുന്നു; നിന്ദകരിൽ നിന്ന് ഞങ്ങളെ കാക്കുക—അഗ്നിപോലെ ജ്വലിക്കുന്നവരേ.
