अवर्षीर्वर्षमुदु षू गृभायाकर्धन्वान्यत्येतवा उ । अजीजन ओषधीर्भोजनाय कमुत प्रजाभ्योऽविदो मनीषाम् ॥
ávārṣīr várṣam úd u ṣū́ gṛbhā́yā́ka dhánvāny áty etavā́ u | ájījano óṣadhīr bhójanāya kám ut prá-jābhyo ’vido manīṣā́m ||
നീ മഴ പെയ്തു; മഴയെ ദൃഢമായി പിടിക്കപ്പെടേണ്ടതിന്നായി ഉയർത്തി, വരണ്ട പ്രദേശങ്ങളും കടന്നുപോകുവാൻ കഴിയേണ്ടതിന്നായി. പോഷണത്തിനായി ഔഷധികളെ നീ ജനിപ്പിച്ചു; പിന്നെ തലമുറകൾക്കായി—പ്രജകൾക്കായി—ഏതു മണീഷ (പ്രേരിത ബോധം) നീ കണ്ടെത്തി?
