Sukta 5.54
प्र वो मरुतस्तविषा उदन्यवो वयोवृधो अश्वयुजः परिज्रयः । सं विद्युता दधति वाशति त्रितः स्वरन्त्यापोऽवना परिज्रयः ॥
prá vo marutas taviṣā́ udanyávo vayaḥ-vṛ́dho aśva-yújaḥ pári-jrayaḥ | sáṁ vi-dyútā dádhati vā́śati tritáḥ sváranty ā́po ’vanā́ pári-jrayaḥ ||
ഹേ മരുത്തുകളേ, നിങ്ങള്ക്കായി മുന്നോട്ട്—തവിഷാ (പ്രചണ്ഡ)മുള്ളവർ, ഉദന്യവ (ജലവാഹകർ), വയോവൃധ (ജീവനവർധകർ), അശ്വയുജ (കുതിരകളെ യോജിപ്പിക്കുന്നവർ), പരിജ്രയ (വലയമായി സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നവർ). അവർ മിന്നലിനെ ഒരുമിച്ച് സ്ഥാപിക്കുന്നു; ത്രിത ഗർജ്ജിക്കുന്നു; അവനാ (ആഴം)യിൽ നിന്ന് ആപഃ (ജലങ്ങൾ) സ്വരിക്കുന്നു—വലയമായി ഒഴുകിക്കൊണ്ട്.
