कस्मा अद्य सुजाताय रातहव्याय प्र ययुः । एना यामेन मरुतः ॥

Transliteration

kásmā adyá sujā́tāya rātá-havyāya prá yayuḥ | enā́ yā́mena marútaḥ ||

Translation

ഇന്ന് മരുതർ ആരുടെ അടുക്കലേക്ക് പ്ര യയുഃ—ഏത് സുജാത (സുജന്മനായ)വന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്ക്, ഏത് രാതഹവ്യ (യഥാവിധി അർപ്പിച്ച ഹവിയുടെ വഹകൻ)വന്റെ അടുക്കലേക്ക്? അവരുടെ ഈ യാമേന—ഈ ഗമനത്താൽ, ഈ മുന്നേറ്റപഥത്താൽ—ആരെയാണവർ തേടുന്നത്?
