प्र ताँ अग्निर्बभसत्तिग्मजम्भस्तपिष्ठेन शोचिषा यः सुराधाः । प्र ये मिनन्ति वरुणस्य धाम प्रिया मित्रस्य चेततो ध्रुवाणि ॥
prá tā́m̐ agnír babhasat tigmá-jambhas tápiṣṭhena śocíṣā yáḥ su-rā́dhāḥ | prá ye minánti váruṇasya dhā́ma priyā́ mitrásya cétato dhruvā́ṇi ||
തിഗ്മജംഭൻ (തീക്ഷ്ണ താടിയുള്ള) അഗ്നി, തപിഷ്ഠ ശോചിഷാ (അത്യന്തം ദഹിക്കുന്ന ജ്വാല)കൊണ്ട്, സുരാധാ (സുകൃതസാധകൻ) ആയി, അവർക്കെതിരേ പ്രചണ്ഡമായി ജ്വലിക്കുന്നു. വരുണന്റെ ധാമം (ധർമ്മ-നിവാസം) ക്ഷതപ്പെടുത്തുന്നവരെയും, മിത്രന്റെ പ്രിയ ധ്രുവാണി (പ്രിയ സ്ഥിര) ചേതതോ (ബോധം ഉണർത്തുന്ന) സമന്വയങ്ങളെ കലക്കുന്നവരെയും അവൻ പ്രഹരിക്കുന്നു.
