अवद्यमिव मन्यमाना गुहाकरिन्द्रं माता वीर्येणा न्यृष्टम् । अथोदस्थात्स्वयमत्कं वसान आ रोदसी अपृणाज्जायमानः ॥

Transliteration

avádyam iva mányamānā guhā́ akar índraṃ mātā́ vī́ryeṇā ní-ṛṣṭam | áthod asthāt svayám átkaṃ vásāna ā́ rodasī́ apṛṇāj jā́yamānaḥ ||

Translation

അവനെ കുറ്റാർഹനെന്നപോലെ കരുതി, മാതാവ് ഇന്ദ്രനെ ഗുഹാ-ആശ്രയമാക്കി—സ്വന്തം വീര്യത്താൽ തന്നെ താഴേക്ക് അമർത്തപ്പെട്ടവനായി. പിന്നെ അവൻ സ്വയം എഴുന്നേറ്റു, തന്റെ കവചം ധരിച്ചു; ജനിച്ച ഉടനെ അവൻ ഇരുവിധ റോദസീ (ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും) നിറച്ചു.
