Sukta 4.17
नू ष्टुत इन्द्र नू गृणान इषं जरित्रे नद्यो न पीपेः । अकारि ते हरिवो ब्रह्म नव्यं धिया स्याम रथ्यः सदासाः ॥
nū́ ṣṭutá indra nū́ gṛṇāńa íṣaṃ jaritré nádyò ná pīpeḥ | ákāri te harivo bráhma návyaṃ dhiyā́ syāma rathyàḥ sadā́sāḥ ||
ഇപ്പോൾ സ്തുതനായേ, ഓ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഇപ്പോൾ ഗാനംകൊണ്ട് ആഹ്വാനിക്കപ്പെട്ടേ—ജരിതാവിനായി ഇഷ് (പ്രേരണ/ബലം) നദികൾ (തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രവാഹം) നിറയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെ നീ വർധിപ്പിക്ക. ഓ ഹരിവോ (താമ്രവർണ്ണ അശ്വങ്ങളുടെ അധിപൻ), നിനക്കായി പുതിയ ബ്രഹ്മ (മന്ത്രവചനം) നിർമ്മിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; ധിയാ (ദർശന-മനം)കൊണ്ട് ഞങ്ങൾ രഥ്യ (രഥപ്രവർത്തനത്തിന് യോഗ്യർ) ആകട്ടെ, നിത്യം നിനക്കൊപ്പമാസനസ്ഥരാകട്ടെ.
