Sukta 3.53
उप प्रेत कुशिकाश्चेतयध्वमश्वं राये प्र मुञ्चता सुदासः । राजा वृत्रं जङ्घनत्प्रागपागुदगथा यजाते वर आ पृथिव्याः ॥
úpa préta kuśikāś cetáyadhvam áśvaṃ rāyé prá muñcatā sudā́saḥ | rājā́ vṛtráṃ jaṅghanat prā́g apā́g úd ag áthā yajāte váre ā́ pṛthivyā́ḥ ||
മുന്നോട്ട് നീങ്ങുവിൻ, ഹേ കുശികന്മാരേ; നിങ്ങളുടെ ചേതനയെ ഉണർത്തുവിൻ; റായ (സമൃദ്ധി)ക്കായി അശ്വത്തെ വിടുവിൻ—ഹേ സുദാസ്. രാജാവ് വൃത്ര (ആവരണകാരൻ)നെ മുന്നോട്ട്, പിന്നോട്ട്, മുകളിലേക്ക്—എല്ലാ ദിശകളിലും—തകർത്തു; പിന്നെ ഭൂമിയുടെ വിശാലതയിൽ നിന്നുള്ള തിരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത വരം (വരദാനം) നേടാൻ അവൻ യജ്ഞം ചെയ്യുന്നു.
