यदङ्ग त्वा भरताः संतरेयुर्गव्यन्ग्राम इषित इन्द्रजूतः । अर्षादह प्रसवः सर्गतक्त आ वो वृणे सुमतिं यज्ञियानाम् ॥

Transliteration

yád aṅgá tvā bharatā́ḥ saṃ-táreyur gavyán grā́ma iṣitá índra-jūtaḥ | árṣād áha prasaváḥ sárga-takta ā́ vo vṛṇe su-matíṃ yajñíyānām ||

Translation

എപ്പോൾ, ഹേ (നദീ), ഭാരതർ നിന്നെ കടക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു—ഗവ്യഃ (ഗോസംപത്ത്/പ്രകാശമയ ഗാവുകൾ) തേടി—ഇന്ദ്രജൂതമായ ചലിക്കുന്ന സംഘത്തോടുകൂടെ, അപ്പോൾ പ്രസവഃ (പ്രേരണം) മോചനം നൽകുന്ന പ്രവാഹമായി മുന്നോട്ടു പാഞ്ഞുചെല്ലട്ടെ. യജ്ഞിയരുടെ സുമതി (ശുഭബുദ്ധിയുടെ കൃപ) ഞാൻ നിനക്കായി തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നു.
