Sukta 3.30
सहदानुं पुरुहूत क्षियन्तमहस्तमिन्द्र सं पिणक्कुणारुम् । अभि वृत्रं वर्धमानं पियारुमपादमिन्द्र तवसा जघन्थ ॥
sahádānuṃ puruhūta kṣiyántam ahástam indra sáṃ piṇak kúṇārum | abhí vṛtráṃ várdhamānaṃ piyā́rum apā́dam indra távasā jaghántha ||
ഹേ പുരുഹൂത ഇന്ദ്രാ! സഹദാനു—കൂണാരു, ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകുന്നവൻ, കൈകളില്ലാത്തവൻ—അവനെ നീ ഒരുമിച്ച് തകർത്തു. വളർന്നുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന വൃത്രനെ—വീർപ്പിച്ച ഇരുണ്ട പ്രതിരോധത്തെ—നീ നിന്റെ തവസാൽ വധിച്ചു; അവൻ പാദരഹിതൻ, പ്രകാശത്തിൽ നീങ്ങാൻ കഴിയാത്തവൻ.
