मूर्धा भुवो भवति नक्तमग्निस्ततः सूर्यो जायते प्रातरुद्यन् । मायामू तु यज्ञियानामेतामपो यत्तूर्णिश्चरति प्रजानन् ॥
mūrdhā bhuvo bhavati naktam agnis tataḥ sūryo jāyate prātar udyan | māyām ū tu yajñiyānām etām apo yat tūrṇiś carati pra-jānan ||
രാത്രിയിൽ അഗ്നി നമ്മുടെ ഭവത്തിന്റെ ശിഖരമാകുന്നു; അവനിൽ നിന്നാണ് പ്രഭാതത്തിൽ ഉദയിക്കുന്ന സൂര്യൻ ജനിക്കുന്നത്. യജ്ഞീയ ശക്തികളുടെ ഇതുതന്നെ അത്ഭുതമായ മായ—ആപഃ (ജലങ്ങൾ) വേഗത്തിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുമ്പോൾ, പ്രജകളുടെ ജന്മങ്ങളെ അറിഞ്ഞ് അവയെ പ്രകടമാക്കുന്നു.
