Sukta 10.86
वृषभो न तिग्मशृङ्गोऽन्तर्यूथेषु रोरुवत् । मन्थस्त इन्द्र शं हृदे यं ते सुनोति भावयुर्विश्वस्मादिन्द्र उत्तरः ॥
vṛṣabho na tigma-śṛṅgo ’ntar yūtheṣu roruvat | manthas ta indra śaṃ hṛde yaṃ te sunoti bhāvayur viśvasmād indra uttarāḥ ||
മൂർച്ചയുള്ള കൊമ്പുകളുള്ള വൃഷഭൻ കൂട്ടങ്ങളുടെ നടുവിൽ ഗർജ്ജിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, നിന്റെ മന്തനം (സോമമന്തനം) ഹൃദയത്തിന് ശാന്തി നൽകുന്നതാണ്—ഭാവയു (ജാഗ്രത്കർത്താവ്) നിനക്കായി ഒരുക്കുന്ന ഈ സോമപ്രസവം; അതിനാൽ ഇന്ദ്രൻ സർവ്വത്തിലും ഉത്തമൻ (ഉന്നതൻ) ആകുന്നു।
