Sukta 10.85
नवोनवो भवति जायमानोऽह्नां केतुरुषसामेत्यग्रम् । भागं देवेभ्यो वि दधात्यायन्प्र चन्द्रमास्तिरते दीर्घमायुः ॥
návo-navo bhavati jā́yamāno 'hnā́ṃ ketúr uṣásām éty ágram | bhāgáṃ devébhyo ví dadhāty ā́yan prá candrámās tirate dīrghám ā́yuḥ ||
ജനിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കെ അവൻ പുതുപുതുതായി മാറുന്നു; ദിവസങ്ങളുടെ കേതു (ധ്വജം) ആയി, ഉഷസ്സുകളുടെ അഗ്രത്തിൽ മുന്നിൽ വരുന്നു। മുന്നേറിക്കൊണ്ട് അവൻ ദേവന്മാർക്ക് ഭാഗം വിഭജിക്കുന്നു; ചന്ദ്രമാ ദീർഘായുസ്സ് നീട്ടുന്നു।
