भुरन्तु नो यशसः सोत्वन्धसो ग्रावाणो वाचा दिविता दिवित्मता । नरो यत्र दुहते काम्यं मध्वाघोषयन्तो अभितो मिथस्तुरः ॥
bhurántu no yaśásaḥ sótv ándhaso grā́vāṇo vācā́ divítā divítmatā | naro yátra duhate kāmyáṃ mádhv āghóṣayanto abhíto mithaḥ-túraḥ ||
ഞങ്ങൾക്കായി യശസ്സുള്ള പ്രകാശം ഒഴുക്കട്ടെ—ഹേ ഗ്രാവാണഃ (പിഴിയുന്ന കല്ലുകൾ); വാക്കിനോടൊപ്പം സോമരസം പിഴിയട്ടെ, ദൈവിക ശക്തിയാലും ദിവത്തേക്കുയരുന്ന അതിന്റെ പ്രേരണാബലത്താലും. അവിടെ നരഃ (വീരന്മാർ) ആഗ്രഹിച്ച മധുരമധുവിനെ ദോഹിക്കുന്നു; ചുറ്റുമെങ്ങും ഘോഷിച്ചു, പരസ്പരം മത്സരിച്ച് ഉയർന്നു കയറുന്നു.
