यो अदधाज्ज्योतिषि ज्योतिरन्तर्यो असृजन्मधुना सं मधूनि । अध प्रियं शूषमिन्द्राय मन्म ब्रह्मकृतो बृहदुक्थादवाचि ॥
yó adadhāj jyótiṣi jyótir antár yó asṛ́jan mádhunā sáṃ mádhūni | ádha priyáṃ śū́ṣam índrāya mánma brahma-kṛ́to bṛhád-ukthād avāci ||
ജ്യോതിസ്സിൽ ജ്യോതിയെ അകത്ത് സ്ഥാപിച്ചവനും, മധുവാൽ മധുക്കളെ ഒന്നായി ചേർത്തവനും—അപ്പോൾ ബ്രഹ്മകൃതന്റെ വിശാല ഉക്തത്തിൽ നിന്ന് ഇന്ദ്രനുവേണ്ടി പ്രിയവും പ്രബലവും ആയ മന്ത്ര-മനനം ഉച്ചരിക്കപ്പെട്ടു.
