Sukta 10.47
यत्त्वा यामि दद्धि तन्न इन्द्र बृहन्तं क्षयमसमं जनानाम् । अभि तद्द्यावापृथिवी गृणीतामस्मभ्यं चित्रं वृषणं रयिं दाः ॥
yát tvā yā́mi daddhí tán na indra bṛhántam kṣáyam ásamam janā́nām | abhí tád dyā́vāpṛthivī́ gṛṇītām asmábhyaṃ citráṃ vṛ́ṣaṇaṃ rayíṃ dāḥ ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് യാചിക്കുന്നതു—അതു ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് നൽകുക: മനുഷ്യരിൽ അസമമായ വിശാല ക്ഷയ (വാസസ്ഥലം/ആധാരം)യും ദൃഢ പ്രതിഷ്ഠയും. അതിനെ ദ്യാവാ-പൃഥിവീ (ആകാശവും ഭൂമിയും) പാടിപ്പുകഴ്ത്തി സ്ഥിരീകരിക്കട്ടെ; ഞങ്ങൾക്ക് ചിത്ര, വൃഷണ റയി—പ്രഭാസ്വരവും ബലവാനും ആയ ബഹുരൂപ അന്തർസമ്പത്ത്—നൽകുക.
