Sukta 10.45
अक्रन्ददग्निः स्तनयन्निव द्यौः क्षामा रेरिहद्वीरुधः समञ्जन् । सद्यो जज्ञानो वि हीमिद्धो अख्यदा रोदसी भानुना भात्यन्तः ॥
ákrandad agníḥ stanáyan-n iva dyáuḥ kṣā́mā rérīhad vīrúdhaḥ samáñjan | sadyó jajñānó ví hīm iddhó ákhyad ā́ rodasī́ bhānúnā bhāty antár ||
അഗ്നി ഇടിമുഴങ്ങുന്ന ദ്യൗസിനെപ്പോലെ നിലവിളിച്ചു; ഭൂമിയെ നക്കി, വീരുധഃ (സസ്യങ്ങളെ) തന്റെ സ്പർശംകൊണ്ട് പൊതിഞ്ഞു. ഉടൻ ജനിച്ചവൻ, പ്രജ്വലിതനായി, ദൂരദൂരത്തേക്ക് ദൃഷ്ടി വ്യാപിപ്പിച്ചു; തന്റെ ഭാനു (കിരണം)കൊണ്ട് ദ്യാവാപൃഥിവീ എന്ന രണ്ടു ലോകങ്ങളെയും നിറച്ച്, അവയുടെ ഇടയിൽ അകത്തുനിന്ന് പ്രകാശിക്കുന്നു.
