Sukta 10.43
विषूवृदिन्द्रो अमतेरुत क्षुधः स इद्रायो मघवा वस्व ईशते । तस्येदिमे प्रवणे सप्त सिन्धवो वयो वर्धन्ति वृषभस्य शुष्मिणः ॥
viṣū-vṛ́d índro ámater utá kṣúdhaḥ sá íd rāyó maghávā vásva īśate | tásyed imé pravaṇé saptá síndhavo váyo vardhanti vṛṣabhásya śuṣmíṇaḥ ||
ഇന്ദ്രൻ അമതി (കുബുദ്ധി) യിൽ നിന്നും ക്ഷുധ (വിശപ്പ്) യിൽ നിന്നും ഞങ്ങളെ വിശാലമാക്കി വിടുവിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ തന്നെയാണ് മഘവാ (ദാനശൂരൻ) — റായോ (സമ്പത്ത്)യും വസു (ധനം)യും മേൽ യഥാർത്ഥ അധിപത്യം വഹിക്കുന്നത്. അവനുവേണ്ടി, മുന്നോട്ടൊഴുകുന്ന ചരിവിൽ, സപ്ത സിന്ധുക്കൾ അവരുടെ പ്രവാഹങ്ങൾ—ചലനശക്തികൾ—വർധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു; ബലവാനായ വൃഷഭൻ, ശൂഷ്മിൻ (പ്രേരകശക്തിയുള്ളവൻ) നുവേണ്ടി.
