Transliteration

ábudhram u tyá índravanto agnáyo jyótir bháranta uṣáso vyùṣṭiṣu | mahī́ dyā́vāpṛthivī́ cetatām ápo 'dyá devā́nām áva ā́ vṛṇīmahe ||

Translation

ഇന്ദ്രശക്തിയാൽ നിറഞ്ഞ ആ അഗ്നികൾ ഉണർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഉഷസ്സിന്റെ വിരിവുകളിൽ അവർ ജ്യോതി വഹിക്കുന്നു. മഹത്തായ ദ്യാവാ-പൃഥിവീ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കട്ടെ; ആപഃ (ജലങ്ങൾ)യും. ഇന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ ദേവന്മാരുടെ അവ (സഹായം/രക്ഷ) തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്നു, അകത്തുള്ള ദിനം ഉദിക്കേണ്ടതിന്.
