अपेन्द्र द्विषतो मनोऽप जिज्यासतो वधम् । वि मन्योः शर्म यच्छ वरीयो यवया वधम् ॥
Transliteration
ápendra dviṣató máno'pa jíjyāsato vadhám | ví manyóḥ śárma yaccha vārī́yo yavayā vadhám ||
Translation
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ദ്വേഷിയുടെ മനസ്സിനെ അകറ്റുക; ജയിക്കുവാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവന്റെ പ്രഹാരം (വധ) അകറ്റുക. മന്യു (ക്രോധം) എതിരായി വിശാലവും ശ്രേഷ്ഠവുമായ ശരണം നല്കുക; ആ അടിയെ വളരെ ദൂരേക്ക് തള്ളിക്കളക.
