वि हि त्वामिन्द्र पुरुधा जनासो हितप्रयसो वृषभ ह्वयन्ते । अस्माकं ते मधुमत्तमानीमा भुवन्त्सवना तेषु हर्य ॥

ví hí tvām indra purudhā́ jánāso hitáprayasó vṛṣabha hváyante | asmā́kaṃ te mádhumattamānīmā́ bhúvant sávanā téṣu harya ||

ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ, ഹേ വൃഷഭാ! പലവിധമായി അനേകം ജനങ്ങൾ ഹിതപ്രയസ—സ്ഥാപിത അർപ്പണങ്ങളോടെ—നിന്നെ വിളിക്കുന്നു. എന്നാൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ ഈ സവനങ്ങളിലെ സോമപാനങ്ങൾ നിനക്കു ഏറ്റവും മധുമയമായിരിക്കട്ടെ; ഈ സോമാർപ്പണങ്ങളിൽ നീ ആനന്ദിച്ചു നിന്റെ ശക്തിയെ പ്രേരിപ്പിക്കണമേ.
