Sukta 10.109
ब्रह्मचारी चरति वेविषद्विषः स देवानां भवत्येकमङ्गम् । तेन जायामन्वविन्दद्बृहस्पतिः सोमेन नीतां जुह्वं न देवाः ॥
brahmacārī́ carati véviṣad víṣaḥ sá devā́nāṁ bhavaty ékam áṅgam | ténā jāyā́m ánv avindad bṛ́haspátiḥ sómena nītā́ṁ júhvaṁ na devā́ḥ ||
ബ്രഹ്മചാരി വിഷ-ശക്തികൾക്കെതിരെ വിറച്ചുകൊണ്ട് സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു; അവൻ ദേവന്മാരുടെ ഒരു അംഗമായി മാറുന്നു. ആ ശക്തിയാൽ ബൃഹസ്പതി അനുഗമിച്ചുപോയ ഭാര്യയെ വീണ്ടും കണ്ടെത്തി; സോമൻ നയിച്ചതിനാൽ അവൾ ദേവന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ യജ്ഞത്തിലെ ജുഹൂ (ആഹുതി-കരണ്ടി)പോലെ എത്തി—അന്തര്യജ്ഞകർമ്മത്തിന് യോഗ്യയായി.
