उदपप्तन्नरुणा भानवो वृथा स्वायुजो अरुषीर्गा अयुक्षत । अक्रन्नुषासो वयुनानि पूर्वथा रुशन्तं भानुमरुषीरशिश्रयुः ॥
úd apaptann aruṇā́ bhānávo vṛ́thā svāyújo áruṣīr gā́ ayukṣata | ákrann uṣā́so vayúnāni pū́rvathā rúśantaṃ bhā́num áruṣīr aśiśrayuḥ ||
മുകളിലേക്കു ചുവപ്പുനിറമുള്ള തേജസ്സുകൾ സ്വൈരമായി ചാടുന്നു; സ്വയം-യോജിതമായ ചുവന്ന കിരണങ്ങൾ പ്രകാശമയമായ ഗാവുകളെ (കിരണ-ധേനുക്കളെ) കെട്ടുന്നു. ഉഷസ്സുകൾ പൂർവ്വകാലത്തെപ്പോലെ തങ്ങളുടെ വിധാന-പ്രവൃത്തികളെ രൂപപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; ചുവപ്പുള്ളവ (കിരണങ്ങൾ) ദീപ്തമായ ഭാനുവിനോടു ചേർന്നു അതിൽ തന്നെ സ്ഥാനം പിടിക്കുന്നു.
