अश्वावति प्रथमो गोषु गच्छति सुप्रावीरिन्द्र मर्त्यस्तवोतिभिः । तमित्पृणक्षि वसुना भवीयसा सिन्धुमापो यथाभितो विचेतसः ॥
áśvāvatī prathamó góṣu gacchati suprā́vīr índra mártyas tavóti-bhiḥ | tám ít pṛṇakṣi vásunā bhávīyasā síndhum ā́po yáthābhíto ví-cetasaḥ ||
ഹേ ഇന്ദ്രാ! അശ്വസമ്പന്നനായ മനുഷ്യൻ ഗോഷു (കിരണ-ഗാവുകൾ) ഇടയിൽ ആദ്യം മുന്നേറുന്നു—നിന്റെ സഹായങ്ങളാൽ സുവീരനായി. അവനെ നീ കൂടുതൽ മഹത്തായ വസുവാൽ നിറയ്ക്കുന്നു; വിവേകത്തോടെ ഒഴുകുന്ന ആപഃ എല്ലാദിക്കിലും സിന്ധുവിനെ (നദിയെ) നിറയ്ക്കുന്നതുപോലെ.
